IN a bid to get fit these three men took on a half-marathon and in the process raised £1,115 for the Lynn News Special Care Baby Appeal.
Owner of JBC Roofing, North Lynn, Luke Burton (32) completed the challenge with his brother-in-law Chris Rudd (39) and the firm's senior estimator Andy McCullum (37).
They made the most of the easy-to-use facility to set up a sponsorship page online to ensure all the pledges went straight to the appeal and collected more than £1,000 that way.
Mr Burton said: "A lot of people say it is difficult to collect sponsorship when they do events like this and we wanted the best way to make sure we got as much money for the appeal as possible."
The appeal is raising £150,000 for Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for ill and premature babies.
The trio ran the 13-mile event in Norwich. Mr Burton completed it in one hour, 55 minutes, Mr McCullum in two hours, five minutes and Mr Rudd in two hours 25 minutes.
JBC Roofing made a significant donation to the total as did Timber Services, Dodman Engineering, Mr Bride's Cleaning Services and Trundley Design Services.
