DISTRIBUTION company TYM International has a major new contract in the bag and is expecting this year's turnover to be up by around £1 million on 2007 figures.
The firm, based on Lynn's Hardwick industrial estate, has signed an agreement with China's Techking Tires to distribute its products in the UK.

A container was due to arrive via Felixstowe port in the last few days, delivering the first consignment of tyres.

Tym International's general manager, Steve Eke, explained that these are all heavy-duty tyres to be used, typically, on earth-moving plant and cranes.

He said that the agreement was reached after a recent trade show at Essen and meetings in London with the Chinese representatives.

"We are delighted to have been recognised by Techking as a top industry player that can build their brand in the UK."

He said that turnover has increased year on year since 2004 and this year's is forecast to be £1 million up.

The Techking deal also increases the range of products that are distributed out of the Rollesby Road warehouse which include three other tyre brands and Tym Tractors which come from South Korea.
