TOP tips for making a profit from agriculture will be handed out by the speakers at this year's Norfolk farming conference next month.
Back to Basics – Farming for Profit will be the theme of the event at the John Innes Centre, at Norwich, on Thursday, February 21.

It is being organised by Anglia Farmers and Shaping Norfolk's Future and is sponsored by Farmers Guardian, Brown and Co, Grant Thornton, Birketts LLP and NatWest.

Rob Hughes, of Brown and Co, promises: "This will be a very lively conference. Topics and speakers have been selected for their relevance to farmers in the region and we will encourage audience participation with question-and-answer sessions during the day.

"There are plenty of farmers on the platform talking of real-life experience, as well as experts from the wider industry, all of whom have a valuable contribution to make. We will be showing how costs can be driven down and value added in to arable and livestock farming as well as marrying this in with the supply chain. The theme is profit and that is exactly what we will be concentrating on."

Tickets are being sold on a first-come first-served basis. They cost £25 (plus VAT) for the full day for members of Anglia Farmers and £30 (plus VAT) for non-members. Information is available on www.norfolk farmingconference.org
