PRINCESS dresses, smart suits and some unusual modes of transport were the order of the day at Marshland High School's end-of-year prom.
Around 150 Year 11 pupils donned their glad rags for a special night of fun before knuckling down to their GCSE exams.

Spectators lined the streets as the youngsters arrived in cars, smart limos and even forklift trucks and diggers.

Textiles teacher Mrs Sally Goodley has organised the event since the school's first prom 17 years ago and said it had been a night to remember.

She added: "The children were wonderful – the girls came in lovely dresses and very elegant attire. We were the first school in the area to have a prom and it's really nice to hold it before their exams."

Music at the event was provided by rock pop band Honeywell.
