A PRODUCTION starring Marshland youngsters is to benefit other young people across West Norfolk.
Clenchwarton Methodist Entertainment Group (CMEG) has donated the money raised by its version of Pinocchio, performed in February, to the West Norfolk Young Carers' Group.
The charity was set up by former borough mayor Ann Clery-Fox, who used to live in Clenchwarton, to support children who look after other family members.
Group member Mrs Sheila Langston, of Terrington St Clement, said: "Apart from three adults it was mostly a children's show this time and we always try to choose children's charities when they are in the show."
CMEG started life around 24 years ago and has since made donations to a number of good causes including Save the Children, Clenchwarton Methodist Church, the RNLI and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The Crystal Crew Young Carers, for children aged eight to 16, meet fortnightly on Wednesdays.
