INCINERATOR: Business day well attended

A BUSINESS open day organised by developers of the incinerator was attended by more than 150 people.

Cory Wheelabrator say business leaders, employment agencies and entrepreneurs from across Norfolk attended their events at the Swaffham EcoTech Centre last week.

The developer put on events to speak to firms interested on working on the Saddlebow incinerator project, which is currently at the planning stages.

The consortium’s Paul Green said: “We are fully committed to working with local businesses in Norfolk and we’re delighted that so many businesses and employers from across the county took the time to come and meet the team.”

Gary Williams, from Great Yarmouth-based E-Tech Group and Norfolk Chamber of Commerce board member, said: “We feel the project will provide vital investment in the area at a time when new jobs are most needed.”
