INCINERATOR: Events ‘well attended’

DEVELOPERS of the incinerator say they had two well attended business open days last week.

Cory Wheelabrator invited firms interested in working on the Saddlebow project to the EcoTech centre in Swaffham on Thursday and Friday last week.

A statement released by Cory states that these events were well attended.

Last week the Lynn News had put forward seven questions to Cory on these events but the consortium had failed to respond to them. Instead, the statement concentrated on the compaints raised about their stand at the Waitrose store in Swaffham (see page 3).

The firm had announced last week that it had awarded a civil engineering contract to BAM Nuttall, which is based in Dereham.

Norfolk County Council’s waste and environment portfolio holder Bill Borrett told a meeting last week that no formal contracts had been signed yet with Cory.
