Pedal for the appeal
SUPPORTERS are being urged to get on a bike in an Olympic-themed event.
West Norfolk Carers is hoping to raise money with a sponsored 107 mile cycle ride covering the same distance as between Lynn and the Olympic village in London, which is set to take place in April.
The group is looking for people willing to take stints on an exercise bike in the Tesco store on the Hardwick estate.
Organisers are also hoping to find a second exercise bike.
Jackie Haverson, of West Norfolk Carers, is appealing for groups in the area to get involved.
She said: “We are looking for anyone willing to help us.
“We are looking for scout groups and fitness clubs to come and have a go on an exercise bike.
“We have already got one bike but we would like to get a second as we think it will motivate the other cyclist.
“With it being the Olympic year, we are bringing the games and the appeal together.”
If anyone is willing to loan an exercise bike or take a stint on the bike contact the team at 20 Thoresby College, Queen Street, Lynn, or call 01553 768155.
