FAKENHAM: Doors to open at animal charity

East Anglian animal charity PACT has opened its latest shop in Fakenham in the former Mattress Man premises on Norwich Street.

The charity suffered severe losses when its shop in Dereham went up in flames last December but has already opened two new outlets in the space of a week – one in Fakenham and the other in Norwich.

PACT is renowned for its work with neglected, injured and abandoned animals which it rescues, rehabilitates and, where possible, re-houses. The Norwich Street shop stocks a broad range of goods including furniture, clothes, books, jewellery and DVDs. Former manager of the Dereham shop, Soraya Parnell, is currently in temporary charge but a new permanent manager is being sought. Applicants should first get in touch on 01362 820775.
