FAKENHAM: Farmers’ markets

Regular monthly farmers’ markets continue to thrive in Fakenham despite the economic downturn.

A seasonal drop in stall numbers inevitably occurs during the winter months but organiser Janet Holdom, coordinator of Fakenham Area Partnership, is upbeat about the market which is held on the fourth Saturday of every month.

“Our regular stall holders support us time after time and despite all sorts of pressures the market continues to be very popular,” she said. “In December we had 20 stalls which is really excellent.”

Market dates this year are February 23, March 23, April 27, May 25, June 22, July 27, August 24, September 28, October 26, November 23 and December 21.
