Gaywood: Have you lost a black cat?

editorial image

A FIRE crew from Lynn was called out to help rescue a cat from a river in Gaywood.

The cat fell into a river near Lynnsport on Wootton Road on Tuesday at around 1pm.

The RSPCA also attended the call and once the cat had been pulled from the river it was taken to the vets.

The cat was treated for hypothermia and shock, he also has superficial skin wounds.

He is a young male, with black fur, neutered and very friendly which suggests he is owned by someone.

He had no microchip or collar and the RSPCA are looking for the owner or for someone to come forward and give him a new home.

If you have lost your cat or know the owners of this cat, contact Millhouse Vets or the RSPCA centre on 01553 618889.
