Hunstanton: Hilda reaches century with family gathering

A FAMILY gathering marked the 100th birthday of Hilda Lee at Gorseland’s Care Home in Hunstanton, on Friday.
This landmark occasion was celebrated with a big party with her granddaughter and great-granddaughter flying in from the US as an extra pleasant surprise.
Mrs Lee, who has two daughters, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, said she enjoyed the party – especially the performance by entertainer Tom Baxter.
Her daughter Jane Carrington-Smith, from Brancaster, said her mother was “very pleased” with her congratulatory card from the Queen.
