Hunstanton: Panto raffle delight for Oliver, 6
A FANTASTIC birthday surprise was in store for six-year-old Oliver Shaw when he won £500 of incredible toys and games donated by the Toymaster Pavillion Toyshop on The Green at Hunstanton.
Oliver and his family went to see the Hunstanton pantomime, The Magical Puss in Boots, at Christmas, where he received a free goody bag with the lucky raffle ticket inside.
Oliver, a pupil at Hunstanton First School, could hardly believe it when Jane Wallis, at Toymaster, showed him the enormous pile of toys he had won.
Oliver said he was very happy, especially when he spotted the X Shot water shooter and Ninjago and City Lego.
The whole family were looking forward to helping him build the models.
His mum, Nicky, said she was so excited when she found out Oliver had won, but had kept it a secret for a whole week.
Jane Wallis warmly thanked the toy suppliers, including Lego, Revell, Peterkin, Playmobil, Casdon, Games Workshop and KSG. She was especially grateful to Flare who supplied all the lovely things for the children’s goody bags handed out at the pantomime, which this year sold out for all six performances.
The cuddly puppies were supplied by Jane and Ian Wallis, at Toymaster.
They were thanked for their generous sponsorship by a spokesman for the pantomime who said: “They are real superstars. Oh yes they are!”
