POLICE have confirmed that the boy who died after a road accident near the Lynn Mart last Wednesday was three-year-old Rio Bell, from Lowestoft.

The family of the boy released a statement which said: “Three years old, our little man who was full of life, full of smiles and laughter.

“He loved playing Mario Kart and playing on his motorbike.

“Such a sad loss for all the family, especially Mum and Dad.

“Now a little angel in heaven, forever missed.”

The collision happened at around 5.30pm when a blue Audi A4 was travelling along King Street, close to the junction with Ferry Street.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or the manner of driving of the Audi prior to the collision, and have not given details to officers already, should contact PC Ian Thexton at the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Wymondham on 101 (calls cost 15p).

In particular, PC Thexton would like to hear from any witnesses who are believed to have been staying at the Globe Hotel on the evening of the incident.
