SHOULDHAM THORPE: Lorry driver trapped after cab impaled by gate

A lorry driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a gate impaled his cab.

Paramedics and firefighters called to Mill Road, Shouldham Thorpe, after a tanker driver was trapped by the gate.

The man, who is in his 50s, was able to get out of the cab prior to the arrival of Downham and Lynn firefighters.

He was taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a slight hand injury for assessment.
