ALL eyes were firmly set on Dersingham Infant and Nursery School once again this week as Sign Health helped to break the world record for the most people signing and singing simultaneously.
It’s been a week for big events at the school.
On Monday, it played host to the Queen’s visit and on Wednesday the school took part in yet another huge event where pupils took part in the nationwide record attempt.
The song Sign2Sing was written specially for the event by Garry Slack and Paul Fairey and is an energetic piece which pupils were said to have “really enjoyed signing along to”.
The organisation Sign2Sing have a history of breaking world records .
In 2011 they broke the same record with 94,489 people taking part and have now broken their own world record with 100,030 people, from 950 schools, taking part.
The event was described as “fantastic” and SignHealth have been inundated with letters praising them for organising the event and saying that the children “loved the entire experience”.
