Despicable act to steal a child's toy

ON WEDNESDAY evening, I was shopping in Tesco at Hardwick, Lynn, with my two sons.

As always, my boys had their Nintendo DS games with them. From the day they both got them as Christmas presents, they have taken them with them everywhere.

We loaded the shopping into the car and realised my son had left his DS at the the checkout.

We returned to the shop only to find the DS and the case, with all his games inside, had been stolen.

There was no record of it being handed into lost property and no sign of it at the checkout. My son's face crumbled when he realised he had lost everything.

He was so upset I really didn't know what to do. I checked with the super-visor, with security and again with lost property. There was no trace of it.

I cannot believe someone would sink so low and keep something like that, knowing it belonged to a child. It is absolutely dispicable.

But having decided to keep it for themselves and devastated a little boy, I do hope you enjoy playing on it knowing that the tears of my son are on your conscience. On finding a toy of this type, would a normal, rational and decent human being not think that it was obviously the prized possession of a child.

Why else would he be walking around tesco with it? This type of dishonesty makes people loose faith in the good that should be within out society.

Chancers like this who take advantage of a child's misfortune is not only wicked but dishonest and selfish.

If the perpetrator has an attack of conscience, please return my son's property to the lost property section at Customer Services in Tesco, Hardwick.
