I’m with Mr King on the Tower...

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with the recent letter from G Thos King regarding the demolition of Campbell’s Tower. If Tesco were as caring about the community as they claim then they would have listened to public opinion and kept the tower as a monument to Campbell’s being an integral part of our history.

Instead they chose “profit per square footage” over local opinion. It is so sad that the council did nothing to prevent this, which could have been done by including a clause when giving planning permission.

Gone are the days where opinions are listened to and now we are only left with one option, vote with our feet.
