If someone dies will it meet criteria?

WITH reference to the article in Friday's Lynn News by Louise Brain, yes we do need a proper crossing at this point over the A149 at Hunstanton.

When the bollards and island were put in the actual road was not widened, so even when you are standing on the island, it is very dangerous especially when large trucks go through.

Some of these trucks cannot get through and they have to go round by the seafront.

On the eastern side of the A149, at this point we now have a large housing estate, where a large number of elderly people live.

Also on the eastern side we have the children's playground, football pitches, tennis courts and other facilities that people need to cross this busy road to get to.

A Norfolk County Council spokesman said, even though this is a busy road, it does not meet their criteria for a pedestrian crossing.

Will it meet their criteria when someone gets knocked down or killed?
