Living on the minimum wage

Butcher Richard Burton (Lynn News, February 15) clearly has no concept of life on the minimum wage, let alone being out of work and with little chance of finding employment.

How dare he say “Buy cheap and you get what you deserve”?

Not everyone can afford some of the exorbitant prices butchers charge. I recently bought 1lb of sausages from a Lynn butcher priced at £4.22p – more expensive than rump steak in some supermarkets.

Families have an extremely difficult time managing their meagre budgets so I suggest people think before they make such insulting comments.
