More bins needed
RESIDENTS of Grovelands in Ingoldisthorpe have been increasingly concerned about the problems of irresponsible dog owners who refuse to clean-up after their animals, leaving one particular alleyway resembling a dog toilet.
As a result all the residents received a letter from the parish council.
It has to be said that Grovelands leads on to a public bridleway used by dog walkers from other nearby villages as well as Ingoldisthorpe.
Hopefully the letter will have some effect. However, the parish council might like to explain why Ingoldisthorpe only has one dog waste bin and why it is always disgustingly overflowing despite requests for it to be regularly emptied.
Requests for more wastebins were refused quite some time ago on the grounds they were not prepared to pay to have them emptied. Smacks of double standards, doesn’t it?
Both Snettisham and Dersingham have plenty of bins, so why is our parish council only willing to pay lip service to the problem?
The whole of the village does need this facility.
