MPs 'living in a bubble' not thinking of others

I really am incensed at all the political shenanigans currently going on.

I have been unemployed since before Christmas and was recently advised by the JobCentre to get retrained through Learn Direct, Bishops House, Tuesday Market Place, Lynn.

I wanted to achieve the ECDL IT course but was told I had to do the numeracy and literacy courses first.

Willing to jump through the hoops I agreed, although I was told I would have to complete before the end of July as Government funding may be coming to an end.

Easily achieving the numeracy and literacy I then began the IT course, achieving 94 per cent and 100 per cent in the first two modules.

I have now been told all Government funding has been removed and may or may not return in August.

After being told the NHS etc now use this course as the competency benchmark, how can many of us hope to retrain to get a job.

I am desperate to work, I have had my car scrapped, I no longer have my own place and am in lodgings.

This doesn't help when I have four young boys who I cannot always see now and I am desperate to support more.

Yet MPs think they are beyond the law and above everyone else with what they can claim saying “we only acted within the rules... ”

I am trying to jump through the hoops and now these MPs “living in a bubble” withdraw funding from those who just want to live an ordinary life and meet their obligations.

Sorry but I could be even stronger in my outrage about what is happening but I do not think you would go to print.

Paul McHenry, 66 Hunstanton Road, Dersingham
