Quite proper but is it right?

Listening to John Dobson talking informally last evening at Great Massingham Parish Council, I think an investigation should be made into the structure of the Norfolk County Council committee responsible for the decision concerning the incinerator.

It is quite possible that the system for remuneration for sitting on the committee may well have clouded the independence and judgement of the members of the committee.

Mr Dobson made absolutely no allegation of impropriety, he just voiced an observation concerning the organisation of the committee.

If the committee has been influenced by the system for remuneration of its members, then this could indeed be powerful evidence relating to the dreadful decision to accept the incinerator idea.
