Royal British Legion's 'fantastic' social calendar for its members

Through the Lynn News I would like on behalf of the Middleton and District Branch of the Royal British Legion, say thank you to all who supported our buffet lunch, held at the William Burt Centre, West Winch.

The afternoon was a great success with more than 50 members and guests attending.

The lunch was provided by our ladies committee, Lillian, Becky, Julia and Denise, with their many helpers.

Our raffle made 63 for branch funds; again this was would not be possible without the generous support of those attending.

Our next event is our garden party held at the home of Iris and John Moran's, this is a members' only event; it takes place on June 7 at 2.30pm.

We have arranged an extra evening event. On July 6, at 7.30 pm, we are holding a Meet the Legion Evening at the William Burt Centre, West Winch.

This is an evening open to any one to come along to and meet the branch and see what we have to offer.

The Royal British Legion is open to membership to any one, ex-service or not, all are welcome.

Our branch has a fantastic social calendar including cheese-and-wines, luncheons, dinners and more.

There are many benefits to membership besides all of this. So please pop along to have a chat with us. Light refreshments will be available.

Our next cheese-and-wine will be on Wednesday, July 22, at 6.30pm for 7 pm at the William Burt Centre.

Please contact us at any time for more details of events or membership; this can be done through our website:
