They were wrong to demolish Campbell’s Tower
THE Lynn News became quite excited by the wilful destruction of King’s Lynn landmark Campbell’s Tower.
It has been forgotten that over 80 per cent of the townsfolk said that the tower should be retained.
Spurious reasons were concocted for its execution. The real reason was the ruthless demands of a powerful conclomerate which allows nothing and nobody to stand in the way.
Here is my 2012 New Year Resolution. I resolve never to set foot in the new Tesco store that is to be erected here. But who else cares?

Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 12:02 PMYou're quite right, who cares, what would you have done with this eyesore? In all fairness Tesco BOUGHT the site, hardly actions of a ruthless CONGLOMERATE. Feel free to boycott the store, I guess all the new jobs and economy it brings to Lynn doesn't sit well with you. I'm no fan of Tesco, but get real, this is life. I'm sure your non-patronage of Tesco will not cause them sleepless nights.

Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:26 AMIf you wanted to keep it - you should have bought it - stop complaining about nothing - there are far more important things to worry about - like parking charges in Downham Market and how to sack the Downham Market Council.......
