THE QUEEN chose two low-key engagements in West Norfolk on the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne.
Her Majesty came to the throne after her father, George VI, died at Sandringham in 1952.
Crowds braved cold weather to gather at Lynn Town Hall early this morning to greet The Queen who, herself staying at Sandringham, was handed posies on her arrival.
She then went to Dersingham Infant and Nursery School.
Earlier, the Queen, who had attended church at West Newton yesterday, said that she was dedicating herself “anew to your service” and that she felt “deeply moved” by all the support shown.
