A NEW Jobcentre Plus office opened in Downham on Monday – based at the Council Information Centre in the Priory Centre.
In a partnership with West Norfolk Council, Jobcentre Plus has set up an office in the centre.

The opening hours are 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Elaine Spall, acting district manager for Norfolk Jobcentre Plus said: "There is a Jobpoint so people can search for jobs, a phoneline to make benefit inquiries, and, in addition, people will be able to sign on each fortnight within the office."

West Norfolk Council and South West Norfolk MP Christopher Fraser welcomed the opening.
