CANCER survivor Jean Wright is preparing to hold her second coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest annual fundraiser.
Downham Lioness club member Mrs Wright will be among thousands of people organising an event for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

She said: "I just think it's an absolutely brilliant idea.

"It's good to get together to have a coffee anyway and it's in aid of a good cause."

The 61-year-old, of London Road, Downham, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and was treated at the Macmillan Cancer Care Treatment Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn and said she received fantastic support there.

Last year she helped with the organisation of a coffee morning in Northwold and will be having another event with her bridge team this year.

The official World's Biggest Coffee Morning day is Friday, September 26.

Last year 1,011 separate fundraisers were held in Norfolk, from a few work colleagues getting together for a cuppa to large public events.

To register an event either call: 0845 602 1246 or you can register online at: www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee
