A SIX-week public consultation has been launched for residents in Wimbotsham to have their say on plans for a new outreach post office service in the village.
Post Office Ltd is hoping to operate a mobile vehicle from The Chequers car park, in Church Road, on weekdays between 8.45am and 10.45am.

The same range of services will continue to be available, with the addition of DVLA facilities, and customers will be able to collect benefits in cash using everyday banking services or a Post Office card account.

There is a step into the mobile vehicle and access for wheelchair users will be via an electronic tailgate. Parking will be available at the pub.

The consultation, which was launched on Tuesday, is seeking views on possible options for an outreach service but the decision to replace the existing branch is not being re-consulted.

Submissions can be made by post to the National Consultation Team, Post Office Ltd, FREEPOST CONSULTATION TEAM or email: consultation@postoffice.co.uk
