ARTISTS from a variety of creative backgrounds have pooled their talents and pulled together a stunning festival show.
West Norfolk Artists Association members range from those who paint and create for a hobby to others who make a full-time living out of art or art tuition.

The result is a media mix where everyone who visits will find something to enjoy and admire.

Association chairman, Stephen Martyn, rates it as one of the most successful exhibitions they have ever staged with more than 50 of the 100 or so members contributing.

"That is our highest number ever and is reflected in the standard of the exhibition," he said.

St Nicholas' Chapel is the ideal setting for an exhibition of this scale and the perfect backcloth for the collection of paintings, drawings, pastels, prints, sculptures, photographs, textiles and more.

They range from many which have been inspired by Norfolk, its villages, the countryside, the coastline, marshes and its endless skies, to portraits, photographs, sculptures and mosaics.

In contrast there is Julie Spriggs' eye-catching "River" installation, Yvonne Autie's rag rug, Sally Hale's Waterfall, Andrew Schumann's Watching Post and Tom Sharp's building blocks.

The exhibition runs until Saturday and is sponsored by West Norfolk kitchen and bathroom firm, Per La Casa which is offering a £500 prize in a draw in aid of East Anglian Children's Hospices. It is open daily from 10am until 4pm and most of the exhibits are for sale.

Taster workshops are also running alongside the exhibition and details of the programme and how to book places are available by calling Helen Breach on 01760 755425.
