WEST Norfolk talent will have the chance to shine alongside the big-name acts performing at Lynn's Festival Too this year.
A number of groups from across the region competed in a hard-fought battle of the bands competition and the lucky winner, BIRKENHEAD, is to appear on the same bill as soul sensation Beverley Knight at the finale concert next Saturday.
The indie-rock band, formed around seven years ago, promises to get the party started at 6.30pm before City Girls, S Club 3 and Beverly Knight take to the stage.
Festival-goers can expect some classic rock tunes as well as some accomplished original tacks from the band, which is already well-established on the West Norfolk gig scene.
Battle of the bands runner-up, THE HOODWINKS, certainly didn't leave the competition empty-handed, however.
The teenage trio, featuring Holly Carter, Mia Dunton, and Connor Hill, will get the chance to play before hundreds of people from 6.30pm in the Tuesday Market Place tomorrow when they warm up the crowd for Eric Faulkner's Bay City Rollers.
The Hoodwinks, formed at Lynn's College of West Anglia last year, play a mixture of rock, pop and punk have played a number of venues in and around Lynn, including The Next Big Gig, a springboard for emerging talent held at the Queen's Arms pub in London Road.
Tonight (Friday, July 3) will see top tribute bands Blondied and Bon Giovi perform from 8pm, so get ready to sing-along with some anthemic tunes.
