The huge success of Lynn's Next Big Gig shows no sign of letting up with some of the finest young talent in the region due on stage this evening.
The concerts at Lynn's Queen's Arms have provided an excellent springboard for emerging bands in West Norfolk and after celebrating its first birthday in January the event continues to go from strength to strength, attracting regular sell-out crowds.
Tonight's show is the second Next Big Gig in the space of a week and fans can expect another exciting line-up of fresh and talented musicians.
Organiser Andy Graham, of Lynn band Stone Pony, said: "We have got 18 shows booked for this year and it is all going very, very well. We had a great gig on Saturday, when we were heading towards capacity, and we are hoping for more of the same. These guys are all fairly experienced and we are expecting a crowd of around 100 people."
Jimmy Rockit make a welcome return to the Queen's Arms having starred in one of the first Next Big Gigs in January 2007.
The indie rockers will be using the gig to debut new song Six O'Clock News and will also perform covers from bands such as the The Pigeon Detectives, Oasis and The Fratellis.
The group, which features Stanford brothers Zach (16), Harrison (13), and Frazer (9), of North Wootton, along with Heacham-based Bradley Carr (14), is looking forward to a busy year.
Future plans include recording their own material and playing gigs in Kettlewell, in Yorkshire, and one of the Greek Islands.
Tonight's line-up also includes four-piece punk outfit Crash Course, all girl band Showerinacan, whose lively mix of pop, punk and emo music has proved a massive hit with audiences, and blues band Stone Pony.
The gig gets under way at 7.30pm and £5 tickets are available from the bands or from Andy on 01553 630747.
