After an eight-year break from the limelight, progressive popsters KULA SHAKER are back.
The British band, fronted by CRISPIAN MILLS, will be performing at Norwich Waterfront on Wednesday, where fans can judge for themselves if the old magic is back.

Emerging at the height of Britpop in spring 1996, Kula Shaker were strict vegetarians, discussed Arthurian legends in interviews and, when the fancy took them, wrote top five singles in Sanskrit.

But, despite their quirky appeal and two successful albums, they vanished as quickly as they appeared, splitting up on the eve of the millennium.

Kula Shaker's latest album Strangefolk sees the band return with an older and wiser outlook.

Crispian, who is the son of actress HAYLEY MILLS, explained: "There are a few things I wanted to get off my chest. I think rock and roll has failed to really comment on the war. It's staggering, so much going on and yet so little to say about it. Seems like there's real complacency in the air."

He went on: "We are living in exciting and terrifying times, but it feels right to be back."

Tickets costing £15 are available from the box office on 01603 508050.
