MTV will be hitting the streets of Peterborough tomorrow to film odd-rock trio Columbian Necktie as part of the Get Seen, Get Heard competition.
The alternative rockers will be performing at the Xoo Bar, in Priestgate, in the semi-finals of the contest after they fought off stiff competition from 25 other bands.

The competition is being organised by MTV and charity music festival Oxjam to uncover fresh talent and the winners will get the opportunity to play a live set on an MTV showcase.

Tomorrow's performance at the Xoo Bar comes after MTV rescheduled the filming earlier in the month.

Promoter Steve Jason said: "Credit has to be given to Columbian Necktie for getting this far in the competition.

"It would be nice if people who profess to be into live music but at the same time bemoan the lack of 'big name' bands coming to the city actually came and supported a local band."

Doors open at 8pm.
