A CHRISTIAN charity in Fakenham has received a major boost thanks to local bankers.
The town's Barclays Bank has donated £1,000 to EP Youth, formerly The Ekklesia Project, in aid of its Big Red Bus Project.
The information bus, which travels across Fakenham and other parts of North Norfolk, helps the charity offer mentoring and support to young people and their families.
Project manager Sarah Durke said: "We are delighted Barclays is supporting us and think it's great the bank has such a strong community programme where charities like us can benefit. This donation will help enable us to keep the bus operational over the next year."
Karen Cross, the bank's community relations officer, added: "This is a great opportunity for Barclays to make a real and lasting difference by supporting the Big Red Bus Project. We are committed to looking after local communities."
