A SMALL church on the outskirts of Fakenham is celebrating a big grant from the Lottery fund.
Holy Trinity church on Hempton Green has received £47,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund and English Heritage.

The Grade II-listed building dates from the early Victorian period and was designed by John Henry Hakewell.

Its single chancel was extended in the 1950s with a nave, two side chapels, a gallery and a church room.

The grant will go towards roof, gutter and belfry repair and improvements which are estimated to cost £160,000.
