FAKENHAM parish church donated close to £800 to both local and overseas groups during April.
Following a concert by the West Norfolk Jubilee Youth Orchestra as part of the Steven Newing weekend, £100 from the proceeds was given to support the work of Steven Newing House, the hostel for the young homeless in Barons Close.

After the recent vandalism at Fakenham Children's Day Care Centre on Field Lane, the Parochial Church Council decided to donate all the takings from one of its regular Thursday market stall and refreshment mornings in church. This amounted to £325.

The Lent Appeal for Papua New Guinea, to help with the rebuilding of schools destroyed in last November's cyclone, raised £361.
