So once again a football manager gets the chop or agrees to leave, whatever you might call it, this time down the road at Norwich City.
I have never been much of a fan of the Canaries, believing that the Linnets are the best team in the county.

But if the City board sacks a manager they only appointed a year ago, then surely it is right for their fans to ask questions of the board, which made the decision in the first place.

Should the directors take some of the responsibility. They appointed the boss, it did not work.

Was it the right decision; was he really given enough money for new players, were better candidates overlooked? Was it right to give the job to a man who had limited managerial experience or any at all?

Have City got enough people on the board who really know enough about managing in football, spotting, buying and getting the best out of players?

If they haven't, how can they judge who a good manager would be?

If they haven't, then perhaps the board should take the blame and get the chop or agree to leave, whatever you call it.

So now we have the situation where the Canaries are going down in the world and the Linnets are going up, despite their mid-week setback.

Just think: In three years time Lynn could be playing Norwich City in the league. Now that would be a local derby to look forward to.

In the meantime, let's hope that the Norwich board do not decide to try to get Keith Webb back.
