ANGLING
IN response to Mr Taylor's letter in last Friday's Lynn News, stating that Lynnsport have put a fence around their pond to stop migrants poaching fish; yes, a fence has been put up, but the lake belongs to West Norfolk Disabled Angling Club, and the fence was put up as a safety measure to stop children from falling into the water, and to stop non-members from fishing illegally.
It does stop the mentioned events by Mr Taylor, but the Gaywood River also has this problem as I have personally witnessed.
They break the law with no rod licence but by-laws allow them to remove two fish from non private waters.

LINNETS
I WENT to the football match at Cirencester on Saturday, and found to my great relief that at last manager Keith Webb has had a word with himself and changed to sensible tactics, and treated us to a good game of attacking football.
I don't say this just because we won, but at last our boys were told to attack instead of being told to churn out the rubbish we have been watching lately, grinding 1-0 wins.
I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but I would like to ask why it is necessary nine times out of ten to use all three subs.
It was lucky that Joe Francis was able to stay on until the end because he received a nasty knock, and Dan Bloomfield looked so disappointed to come off as he was on a hat-trick.
So come on Webb; let's have some more of the same, especially at home to give me and other fans something nice to say about you.
Well done to our boys!
