Colin, I didn't say KL was not my HOME only that it isn't like the old days, but then time does change everything doesn't it?

Just wanted to add my little bit about the Mart.. I just came back from KL on Saturday Feb.16th so I got to walk around the Mart; too old for the rides now, but it isn't like when we were growing up. It had been over 40 years for me and I have no regrets of missing it. Tuesday Market sucks now, absolutely nothing on it, just not like the old days. Oh, well, no-one can ever take our memories can they? Weather was not bad for February actually nicer than when we were home last July, not in terms of hot, but only one day of rain in the whole 2 weeks. When we were home last year our grandson said as soon as we got within 5 miles of KL he saw the KL curse...lol Price of housing is just shocking beyond belief and I don't know how they make it anymore. It's always good to come home and visit, but is much nicer to come back. Since I've lived in the US longer than in England now, but I will always have 2 homes.

I also have wonderful memories of the Mart. My mother's side of the family actually sold the rock & nugget and they're still in the business today. I remember as a little girl taking home a bird on a stick with wings that made a chirping noise.
