Hunny collections beat credit crunch

HUNSTANTON fire crews raised a total of £613.83 for the Fire Fighters' Charity during a street collection held in the resort on August 16.
There will be more fundraising for the charity when a car wash is being held at the fire station from 10am to 2pm tomorrow. Car owners can make a donation.

A charity car wash is also being held at Lynn Fire Station between the same times tomorrow.

  • A FLAG day raised more than £2,000 for Hunstanton Lifeboat.


The day on August 23 raised £1,435 in donations and a further £668 in souvenir sales.

Hunstanton RNLI fundraising guild treasurer David Jones said: "We would like to thank everybody who contributed.

"It was the best we have had for many years, and in the present financial climate, it is wonderful."
