HUNSTANTON RNLI has been boosted by more than £3,000 thanks to three donations in recent weeks.
A cheque for £1,100 was presented by Hunstanton Conservative Club following a successful coffee morning, bring-and-buy sale, cake stall and raffle organised by Eric Linge and fellow committee members.
Snettisham's Diglea Caravan Park then donated £1,005 from its fundraising efforts over the past year, with the park owners adding a further £150 to the cause.
And the total was completed by Leicester Model Boat Club, which presented £984.40 when four members made a special visit to the boathouse.
Hunstanton RNLI spokesman Geoff Needham said: "We are most grateful for these donations. The money goes towards the cost of alterations to the boathouse as we move towards receiving our new boat."
Lynn News readers raised around £130,000 towards the cost of the new lifeboat, which is expected to be delivered to the station in early 2010.
