CHILDREN and toddlers flocked to Hunstanton's Oasis Sports and Leisure Centre, eager to be among the first to explore the new Fun Castle.
The huge indoor play area officially opened on Saturday and there was no shortage of youngsters eager to give the games, activities, slides and climbing frames a whirl.

Its completion marks the culmination of a £1.5m investment made by West Norfol
k Council at the Oasis in recent years.

The seafront centre, which celebrates its 25th birthday in July, has been transformed into a multi-purpose, year-round facility for both residents and visitors to enjoy.

At the heart of the four-storey playframe, is an exhilarating 450 degree spiral slide surrounded by cargo nets, ball cannon arena and a thrilling sky glide ride with splat landing pad.

Suitable for children aged 10 and under, who are also under 142cm tall, the Fun Castle also has a specially-designed toddler play area, complete with shape sorters, bumpy slides and an interactive ball game.

Business development manager Martin Chisholm said: "Building works at the Oasis were completed just in time to open the Fun Castle for the Bank Holiday weekend. We are very pleased with the response we've had during the first few days of opening.

"We've received some excellent feedback and a number of inquiries for children's birthday parties. As expected, the weather has encouraged many more people into the centre and we believe that the Fun Castle will become a popular all-weather attraction in the resort for visitors and residents alike."

The Fun Castle is open daily from 10am. For more information, click on www.funcastle.co.uk or call the centre on 01485 534227.
