Cannot clear up if the bins are full...

I WAS taking my well-behaved, polite, friendly dog for a walk on the beach at Holme last Tuesday, which I have done for the last 50 years with an assortment of different dogs.
She stopped to do her duty, out came the plastic bag. What did I find?

The bins were so full that to put in my bag I had to open the lid and toss the bag in quick before it fell out again.

On my return off the beach there were quite a few bags sitting on the ground.

Dogs are getting a bad press for owners not clearing up after them.

But what do you do if the bins are full? There are not enough bins on the beach, or anywhere else for that matter.

I have asked the council when the bins are emptied. Surely it should be on a Monday as a lot more people use the beach at weekends.

At the moment it seems that dogs are not all man's best friend but they give a lot of people great pleasure which part of our population would like to stop.

B. WALDEN, Holme
