East/west split best for LOCAL people

I submitted the following to the Boundary Committee's website today (Tuesday).
I strongly support the campaign by the West Norfolk Council and the Lynn News and would be happy to offer my assistance in some way if possible.

My submission was:

I object strongly to the draft proposal which seeks to place all existing district and borough councils under one large Norfolk unitary authority.

As you can see I live in West Norfolk and feel strongly that the creation of such an authority as is being proposed and the destruction of our present local authority will lead to less LOCAL Government for West Norfolk.

I suspect that it is inevitable that the interests of the people living in West Norfolk and the other borough council areas away from Norwich and the East Coast will become eroded and our services will suffer.

I strongly support the provision of separate unitary authorities for West and East Norfolk.

Peter Goddard,

Sedgeford
