If this Government is hell bent on another reorganisation, then local people must have control over their own affairs.
The question is however, how much is this going to cost? The local council tax payers are already paying a high price for the services provided, only to find that in many instances, if they need a particular service, they have to pay again.

Remember what happened in 1974, local government expanded enormously. Will this happen again? I think so.

If we are to have this forced upon us, then it must be an east/west division. Remember, as far as Norwich is concerned, the county of Norfolk ends at the Norwich ring road. Beyond that the maps that hang in county hall have the words printed over West Norfolk "Here there be dragons".
