Kind people not always Christian

I am writing in response to the letter from Mrs Cynthia Wilson, of Snettisham.
I am staggered by her bigoted, small-minded attitude to anybody who happens to hold a different opinion to that of her own.

However, this unfortunately seems to be the case with many people who call themselves Christians; if this is being a Christian, then leave me out!

Why is it the case that some of the kindest, most helpful and supportive people that I have met in my life would never consider themselves to be a "Christian", and probably never go near a church? (although I do not wish to tar all church-goers with an "un-Christian" brush).

I suggest that Ms Wilson tries to adopt the rather more open-minded attitude of her hero, Jesus.
