Netting is not the answer

Over the bank holiday weekend, I saw a pigeon endure a slow and stressful death, trapped by its feet in roof netting, some town centre properties use to deter birds.
I spoke to someone at the property concerned, and the RSPCA, who weren't interested. Controlling birds should be done in a humane way, not by trapping them in netting to endure a tortuous end.
