Our medical centre a jewel in the crown

Threat to village surgeries – Pharmacies in England: As a patient at Watlington Medical Centre, I was most concerned to read the comments of Dr Koopowitz and Henry Bellingham MP, in Friday's Lynn News, regarding the above.
Despite being underfunded, the centre is a real jewel in the crown when it comes to surgeries in West Norfolk; this is of course down not only to the doctors and nurses but also to the back-up staff as well.
Should the surgery end up losing the right to dispense medication, it would be a disaster, not only for the local community, but also for the wider area that it currently supports.
The medical centre could end up with fewer staff and this would of course, lead to a loss in the services they could provide.
In the worst-case scenario it might even close and people could end up having to go to the much-discussed polyclinic, where it is doubtful that they would see the same doctor twice.
CARE
Therefore, not only will the patient end up losing out re where they collect medication, they will also be deprived of the continuity of care which surgeries such as Watlington, are able to provide.
Is this what people really want?
