Parishes do not want changes

Those parish councillors who attended the Boundary Committee meeting on July 4 at Lynn Town Hall expecting to hear a detailed explanation of the proposed changes to local government in Norfolk were sorely disappointed.
The Boundary Committee was either unable or unwilling to answer the questions put to it from the numerous speakers from the floor and almost unanimous support was shown for scrapping the proposed changes.
A show of hands at the end of the meeting supported the status quo by a margin of 150 to 4.
